“Either I or Mr. Mousavi will” be the reformist candidate, Khatami told a gathering in the western province of Ilam.Mir-Hossein Mousavi was prime minister from 1981 to 1989 when Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was president. He was the last prime minister of Iran before the change in the constitution which eliminated the post of prime minister.

“I will tell all the reformists and those who may not belong to the reformist (camp) but would like to see a change in the current situation, and with respect for all who have announced or will announce their candidacies, that, God willing, (either I)” or Mr. Mousavi will be the reformist candidate
